Many computer problems can be cleared up with a simple solutions. See if these can save you time:
Windows Firewall simply does not work, nor do third-party firewall software solutions installed on your PC. For the same money and a lot easier usage, get an inexpensive broadband router to protect your computer from internet attacks. This also does not need to be updated constantly either.
