Chris PickettChris Pickett

Technical Genius

Chris started his adventure into technology at an early age. Starting inh 1979 at the age of 8. Chris began this journey with the original IBM PC. At age 12, he began playing trumpet and quickly excelled in concert and jazz band in junior high and high school. At 14, data communications via modems became interesting, which naturally made sense as his father was a leading salesperson for a large data communications equipment company. At age 16, Chris discovered electronic music and MIDI. Via the use of a Mac SE, a clunky MIDI interface, a keyboard, a drum machine and a 12-channel mixer, his love of music and computers were blended into one seamless package and his dive into being a gear-slut began. At age 19, Chris began taking classes to study audio production and engineering. Chris became involved with Pacific Mobile Recorders, which in turn lead to a 14-month gig as Wayman Tisdale’s studio engineer and keyboard/bass technician. Chris went off into the world of data communications and web design, but never leaving the music behind. In 1996, a mutual friend introduced Chris Pickett to Aaron Kinney and Martin Birke during a time that Casualty Park was developing a live show. At this time, Chris was also heavily into building and repairing computers, as well as doing whatever audio work came his way. Currently, Chris owns a data communications company called Indicium Technologies and is running a small live sound company named Studio42. Chris is considered to be an invaluable member of Casualty Park. Although some would consider him “behind the scenes”, Chris’s effect came be felt in heard throughout the world of Casualty Park.
