Aaron's first
exposure to music was in the Air Force working as a sound technician
with bands that toured the military bases. Later becoming involved in
small studio projects and again as a sound technician for "Bill Graham
Presents"
In 1983,
he taught himself the piano and later, guitar. His first band, "Lethal
Steel" (1986) was a good experience, but yielded nothing.
In 1991,
Aaron and his brother Patrick opened "P.A.S. Key Productions," a multi-track/MIDI
recording studio in downtown Sacramento. This venture has lasted to
this day and has become a successful radio and television production
facility.
In 1993,
Aaron connected with Martin Birke of "THWAK" and recorded several compositions
for the dance companies "Complexions" and the "Alvin Ailey American
Dance Theater" as well as several local releases. This collaboration
became known as "Casualty Park".
Also in 1993,
Aaron produced and hosted and program for KWOD 106.5 called "The Sound
of Sacramento", a music program featuring local bands and songwriters.
This program was produced at P.A.S. Key Productions.
In early
1994, Aaron was recruited to be label producer for "Rude Boys Records"
and has produced many local Sacramento bands and has engineered projects
with Brian Wheat of "Tesla" and "Soul Motor". He is currently working
as a freelance music producer and in television production for the local
UPN and PBS affiliates in Sacramento.
Casualty
Park music has also been featured in two feature films; "Retribution"
and "Blood, Guts, Bullets, and Octane."
